This is especially true for players more interested in the newest activities that Destiny 2 has to offer. Getting all of the Destiny 2 expansions can be expensive, and some fans might not feel like investing the extra money necessary to get their hands on every piece of content they had access to with Xbox Game Pass in the past. Xbox Game Pass has been providing an inexpensive way for Xbox players to enjoy Destiny 2 content for a while, and this will result in a lot being taken away. This seasonal content isn't available to purchase on its own, so you'd need to buy the Forsaken bundle to access it.When Destiny 2 removes its expansions from the Xbox Game Pass for consoles the second week of December, a lot will change for Guardians on Xbox devices. In other words, Year 2 seasonal content like the Black Armory and the Menagerie won't be included with Forsaken on Game Pass. In an FAQ released after the show, Bungie confirmed that seasonal content from previous years will not come with its corresponding expansion. Note that Game Pass is getting the standard editions of these expansions, meaning seasonal content – anything included in season passes – will still be sold separately. Not only that, when the now-delayed Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion launches this November, it will also be on Game Pass on day one. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subs will be able to play Destiny 2 on mobile devices through Project xCloud game streaming. Everything from Destiny 2's first year has technically been free since the launch of its New Light entry point, so really, the big news is that its Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions will come to Game Pass this September. Bungie announced its Game Pass enrollment at today's Xbox Games Showcase.
